Office of the CISO

Ideal candidates for this senior consulting role will have functioned as a security leader (CISO, VP or Director of Security) or executive security consultant and possess an executive mindset with a firm grasp of the technical components surrounding the information security and risk management landscape.

Candidates should also have excellent presenter skills with the ability to convey complex information security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and the capacity to influence and help security executives through the maturation of their organization’s security posture.

Primary Responsibilities

Executive Advisory

  • Operate as trusted advisor to increase ITPG’s presence at the security executive level for marquee and enterprise accounts
  • Assist client security executives in the planning, creation and execution of their security strategies
  • Liaison between the client and ITPG Sales and Services delivery organizations
  • Initiate and engage other ITPG subject matter experts in support of client’s needs and questions·

Services Engagement

  • Provide billable executive sponsorship and delivery for various client-facing projects
  • Security strategy assessments
  • Risk management or compliance initiatives
  • Programmatic security operations (primarily plan and build phases)
  • Collaborate with practice thought leaders on the development of new services/offerings

Sales and Marketing Alignment

  • Align with Sales team strategies and support them in closing and exceeding their sales quotas
  • Drive services revenue and sales quota achievement through client-facing business development activities
  • Describe Services offerings in detail, understand pricing models, reference accounts, past engagements and demonstrate offering differentiators and value.
  • Identify pre-engagement requirements (goals, budgeting, timing, etc.), assist with technical scoping, project pricing and proposal development
  • Lead internal and client-facing account management strategy and planning sessions and formal proposal presentations
  • Leverage personal network to increase exposure for ITPG and help drive additional opportunities and revenue
  • Assist sales teams in understanding CISO personas, current issues/trends and how to better position and sell security solutions at security executive levels
  • Provide customer feedback and observations to sales, marketing, and product groups

Community Engagement

  • Create and publish thought leadership content (magazine articles, blogs, presentations, etc.) in support of security executive interests, missions and other relevant topics
  • Host customer/prospect roundtable events in region
  • Speak at and attend security conferences
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Experience as an information security or risk management executive in a large enterprise environment OR experience functioning as a high-performing consultant focused on security strategy advisory to the security executive suite
  • Passion about security and building relationships
  • Strong knowledge of security strategy and risk management
  • Strong knowledge of cyber threat landscape and hacker tactics
  • Experience conducting research on security topics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to conduct presentations to technical and non-technical groups

Must Have

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work greater than 40 hours per week as needed
  • Ability to travel at least 50 percent within assigned region

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a security executive role (CISO, VP, Director, etc.)
  • Vertical specific expertise as it relates to information security, risk management or compliance
  • Prior recognition as a published writer in the Information Security space
  • Demonstrated sales skills and achievement of quota driven result
