As a nonprofit organization, SCIPP was specifically created for an educational purpose: to offer a choice of technical and non-technical security awareness programs for every employee, including web application developers who use, build, administer, or have access to your web applications.
The Mobile Resource Group is committed to making mobile computing more secure. Smartphones are capable of holding more critical and personal information than ever before. While the platforms running on these mobile devices are well put together, even the most secure systems can be compromised when put under the wrong conditions. The security risk of a mobile device being compromised is the leak of personal information such as contacts, social and email accounts, credit card numbers, and every file downloaded onto the phone. In a world where over two-thirds of Americans have smartphones, and with smartphones increasingly being used in the workplace, the likelihood of data being compromised becomes inveitable. This is where CMDSP comes in. The Credentialed Mobile Device Security Professional (CMDSP) certification – offered by the Mobile Resource Group – promotes knowledge of mobile devices, securing devices, and securing environments for mobile devices.

CYBER COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Cybrary launched on January 13, 2015. Our goal is to provide the opportunity to learn Cyber Security, to anyone, anywhere, who wants that opportunity. We believe everyone deserves an opportunity, and that opportunities should not be limited to people who “win the birth lottery”. Fortunately, the internet enables us to do this. We are working to make the cyber security industry a more level playing field where everyone has the educational tools they need to be competent and confident. Cybrary is a growing community where people, companies and training come together to give everyone the ability to collaborate in an open source way that is revolutionizing the cyber security educational experience.
Founded in 2012, the D.C. Cyber Security Professionals Group’s provides informative discussions on all things cyber as well networking opportunities for members and increased brand recognition for sponsors. The groups’ consistent dedication to its mission of education has allowed it to grow to over 4,400 members strong while providing a real benefit to the cyber community. Members of all skill levels are welcome to join.
Cover6 Solutions is Virginia based, minority owned, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that delivers trusted information security solutions and training for government and commercial partners. The Cover6 staff includes certified professionals with vast knowledge of Cybersecurity strategies, web application and penetration testing, security policy creation and enforcement, and staffing and recruiting. Cover6’ dedication to community outreach led to the creation of three cybersecurity meetup groups with nearly 5,000 members in total. Aside from Washington D.C., the groups’ additional locations include Boston Massachusetts and Miami Florida.
